Clear data handling

HEIC and HEIF photos are converted to JPEG in your browser before upload. Your converted image is transmitted over HTTPS to this site's PHP proxy, Eden AI, and PhotoRoom for background removal. The temporary Eden upload is deleted after processing. PhotoRoom says images sent to its synchronous API are discarded after each call and are not used for model training. Do not upload sensitive images or photos of people. This site does not create an account or intentionally keep a permanent copy.

Where is my image processed?

The image is uploaded to Eden AI and sent to PhotoRoom for background removal. Eden says its own request and response content is not stored by default; this site also requests deletion of the temporary Eden upload immediately after processing. PhotoRoom's separate provider policy applies to its processing.

What makes a cleaner cutout?

Use a sharp image with the entire item visible, even lighting, and clear separation between the item and its surroundings. Fine lace, fur, and transparent fabric may need extra review.

Information processed

  • Uploaded photos: the photo you choose is sent to this site's server, Eden AI, and PhotoRoom solely to perform background removal.
  • Rate-limit information: the site creates a random browser identifier in local storage. The server stores a one-way hash of that identifier and a daily request count in temporary storage. If the identifier is unavailable, the server may use the requesting IP address to create the hash.
  • Technical records: the hosting provider and server may process IP address, browser information, timestamps, and error information for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
  • Messages: if you email us, we receive the address and information you include.

How information is used

Information is used to operate the tool, return the processed image, enforce usage limits, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and respond to messages. This site does not sell personal information and does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Image processing and retention

HEIC and HEIF conversion occurs in your browser. Other supported photos, and converted JPEG copies, are transmitted over HTTPS. The local server does not intentionally save a permanent image copy. It asks Eden AI to delete its temporary upload after processing.

Eden AI's privacy policy says customer data is not stored by default, although limited metadata may be retained for billing, security, and operations. PhotoRoom receives the image as the selected processing provider. Its API security information says synchronous API images are discarded after each call, and its privacy policy says API images are not used for model improvement. Do not upload sensitive images or photos of people.

Local storage and retention

The random visitor identifier remains in your browser until you clear site data. Temporary rate-limit records are reset by UTC date and may also be removed when the host clears temporary storage. Contact messages and necessary operational records may be kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, accounting, or legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can avoid image processing by not uploading a photo, clear the visitor identifier through your browser's site-data controls, and contact us to ask about information associated with a message you sent. Applicable law may provide additional access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection rights.

Children, security, and changes

The service is not intended for children under 16. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet transmission or processing service can be guaranteed completely secure. This policy may be updated as the tool or its providers change; the date above will be revised.

Eligibility and permitted use

You must be at least 16 and legally able to use the service. You may use the tool only for lawful purposes and only with photos you own or are authorized to process. You must respect privacy, intellectual-property, marketplace, and other applicable rules.

Your photos

You retain your rights in submitted photos. You grant this site and its processing providers only the permissions reasonably necessary to transmit, process, return, and temporarily handle the photo. Do not upload confidential material, unlawful content, malware, or photos of people without all required permission.

Marketplace responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether an edited image is permitted where you plan to use it. Vinted's current Catalog Rules state that image editing is not allowed for listing photos. This website is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Vinted or any other marketplace.

Third-party processing

Background removal depends on Hostinger, Eden AI, PhotoRoom, and browser software. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to their services. Features, providers, processing limits, and availability may change without notice.

Service limits and acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, disrupt the service, probe its security, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer protected service components, or use the tool in a way that harms others. Access may be limited or suspended to protect the service or control processing costs.

No warranties

The service and its outputs are provided "as is" and "as available." Background removal may be incomplete or inaccurate, especially around fine fabric, transparent areas, hair, or complex edges. You are responsible for reviewing every output before use. No guarantee is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for a particular marketplace, or available indefinitely.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
